Read the introduction, objectives and theoretical background to the project and then answer the following questions:
I was drawn by the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) i have always wanted to operate a electron microscope, i also think material science is an very interesting subject, the composite materials part also sounded very fascinating.
I hope to learn how to operate an electron microscope, the testing procedures of material testing and just materials in general
One main question i have is how does all these different materials actually apply in real life uses.
I hope to be able to gain better knowledge about material science and learn more about the daily routines professionals have to go though to give me an idea if i wanted to pursue this as a career.
Reflections on Plenary Sessions
For each plenary session, consolidate your learning by answering the following questions:
- I gain a better insight on the difference of stop-motion, 2d animation and 3d-animation The video showing the making of the famous 2d animation was very informative on how people made this animation back in the old days without the aid of modern computer technology, the software that ntu made was very intriguing, you can make an simple animation in just 30seconds.
3. I learnt more about the surface area and its relationship to nano particles and also how Nano tech helped to discover the negative effects of facial products, it can even hep achieve to discover cancer cell in the body when there is only a few of them, it can also make bullet proof armor to protect our soldiers.
I want to know more about the practical applications and its impact on our actual society.
